BAGHDAD, Iraq — Three American soldiers were killed in northern Iraq, the U.S. military said Thursday, while at least 21 Iraqis were killed in bombings or shootings around the country.
Two U.S. soldiers died when their vehicle hit a bomb Wednesday in the northern city of Mosul, the military said. Two other soldiers were wounded in that attack. Another U.S. soldier, on patrol in northern Samarra, was killed when a bomb ripped apart his vehicle.
